Hydration estimate

Water Intake Calculator

Build a starting fluid range, then adjust for heat, sweat, food, altitude, illness, and individual medical needs.

Interpret the estimate

How to use this result responsibly

The calculator combines a broad body-weight range with an exercise allowance. It estimates drinks, not total water from beverages and food, and it cannot know an individual sweat rate.

Worked example

A hot, humid outdoor session in Mumbai can require a different plan from an air-conditioned indoor walk. Use thirst, urine pattern, session duration, and individual medical advice as context.

Important limitations

  • Sweat sodium and fluid losses vary widely between people and environments.
  • Heart, kidney, and electrolyte conditions may require prescribed limits.
  • Excess water can also be dangerous; more is not automatically safer.
